Watch Gratitude Practices with Rebecca McGinty
New Year's Eve, Thanksgiving, graduations, confirmations, baptisms, weddings, birthdays, the birth of a child, moving into a new house, and receiving a promotion are all examples of events that we would want to reflect on and express special gratitude for.
Before a significant event in my family's life, I created the following aromatherapy blends to diffuse during meditation. However, special events aren't the only time when utilizing this diffuser combination to express appreciation and focus on our blessings is acceptable and spiritually rewarding.
The Essential Oils Used In the Celebration and Gratitude Blend
Bergamot
A light, sweet, uplifting aroma that is typically loved by those of all ages. It makes for a beautiful primary oil in any blend intended for celebration or enhancing joy.

Grapefruit
A beautifully uplifting aroma that is amongst my favorites. This oil allows for the gentle release of emotional grief that so often accompanies growth.
Rose
A beautiful, exotic floral essential oil. It can become quite overpowering, so use it sparingly. Rose is what called to me for this celebratory blend, but jasmine would also be well suited.

Cypress
With its fresh, herbaceous, slightly woody aroma, Cypress is an energizing oil and is a great oil to use during times of change.
Frankincense
To celebrate my faith and gratitude, frankincense is my oil of choice for this particular blend. It's earthy and spicy base notes help to round out the aroma.

Ginger
Ginger is a spicy oil that is warming, heart lifting and helps to cut through the sweetness of the citrus and ylang ylang essential oils.
